To let go is not to cut myself off; it is to realize that I can’t control another. To let go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences. To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. To let go is not to try to change or blame another; it is to be responsible for myself in that situation. To let go is not to care for, but to care about. To let go means I want what God wants in the situation, not what I think is best for me or the other person. To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive. To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being. To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to effect their own lives. To let go is not to be protective; it is to permit another to face reality. To let go is not to deny, but to accept. To let go is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them. To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and to cherish the good in it. To let go is not to criticize or regulate anyone else’s life, but to do my best to become all that I can be. To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and to live for the future. To let go is to fear less and love more. To let go is to hug someone, but not hold them so closely he is crushed or smothered. To let go is to give a person or a situation to God, who is the only One who can work everything together for our good and His glory. author unknown
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-83466173318647182682016-05-06T07:57:00.002-07:002016-05-06T07:57:44.985-07:00The grieving process is a healing process. Grief Is a Journey
Day 20

If you want to heal from grief, you must go through it; you cannot go around it. The grieving process is a healing process. Do not look at healing as a goal you can only attain at the end of the process. Each step you take is part of your healing.

“Grief is a process that is better thought of as a journey,” observes Dr. Tim Clinton. “It’s just one foot in front of the other. It may seem that others have grieved very quickly, but those who have come through the process too fast have undone business in their lives.”

Take a moment to try and identify where you are on your grief journey. If you have admitted you are grieving, then your journey has begun.

Rest assured that the God of all time, the First and the Last, the omniscient and omnipotent God, will be with you every step of the way, and He has already placed your healing in His plan.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path” (Psalm 119:105).

God, all I can do is put one foot in front of the other, but I know for sure that my journey has begun. Amen.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-38717161458383738022016-04-28T20:37:00.003-07:002016-04-28T20:37:59.857-07:00Intimacy with God
Exodus 33:13 Amplified Bible (AMP)

13 Now therefore, I pray you, if I have found favor in Your sight, let me know Your ways so that I may know You [becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, recognizing and understanding Your ways more clearly] and that I may find grace and favor in Your sight. And consider also, that this nation is Your people.”

Ephesians 1:17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 [I always pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation [that gives you a deep and personal and intimate insight] into the true knowledge of Him [for we know the Father through the Son].

Colossians 2:2&3 Amplified Bible (AMP)

2 [For my hope is] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in [unselfish] [a]love, so that they may have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding [the joy of salvation], resulting in a true [and more intimate] knowledge of the [b]mystery of God, that is, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge [regarding the word and purposes of God].

These verses reveal how God truly wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him. We seek after this intimacy with a partner, but we can't truly find one. When we truly like in Colossians 2:2&3 have our hearts knit together in unselfish love that only God himself can give and teach us, we will be truly whole and fulfilled. We try to fill the void with food, cigarettes, alcohol, a sexual relationships and material things that just deceive us at first into thinking it will satisfy. We truly can not be fully satisfied until we draw nearer and pray these scriptures so that we may know God and also as in John 17 where Jesus prayed that we would be one with the Father as He was one we won't fulfill the purpose God has put us in this world to be have or do.

We had a worship night at church Sunday and I was reminded of this intimacy in God's presence. Being in God's presence and sharing an intimate moment left me hungry for more. I have to ask myself then why do I still allow myself to be deceived into thinking that intimacy with a man is a worth while venture. I was in a moment of weakness texting a guy I had been with over the summer. The excitement just wasn't like it had been and the experience was different. I truly believe I have changed. I have grown closer to God. I can't even believe I would go and reach out to this guy again after I had told him I was not doing these things any more. I know it was this coping mechanism in my brain that had been wired to go after this kind of thing when I'm hurting.

Why can't I even allow myself to express sadness over losing my step mother. I keep trying to figure things out and again try to birth an Ishmael on my own. I don't know and ask myself, self how long will you keep doing this? Is it because it's been a habit? You have done it for so long and it is difficult to break this habit of trying to figure things out on your own and even going ahead and doing things to help yourself when God said to Lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your steps.

Dear Lord,
I truly repent for trying to do things on my own and seeking after things that don't truly satisfy or please you. I pray that you lead me and guide and strengthen me to do what is right in your eyes. I do hope it is you that has laid it on my heart to be truthful and express myself. Why do you just push it down and not come out with it. You know you are kind hearted and when it comes to blessing someone you are torn, because you want to make money, but sometimes I know the Lord will ask us to bless someone and surrender the need to try and manipulate the situation so you can gain money. I just pray you lead me and guide me in selling or giving away some of Mother's stuff. It can be so reckless of me to give you credit where I thought when this woman called who seemed interested in buying all the jewelry only offered such a small amount for jewelry that was worth 8 times as much as she was wanting to give. You know Lord I need $90 to pay for my Leadership class and $120 plus spending money for food at least to go on this retreat. I pray you lead me and guide me. I pray I can be quiet and listen for your still small voice which will lead me in the way I should go or if I am to sow a seed by selling it to her for $200? That wouldn't even be enough to cover both the $90 and $120 plus food money. I so want to be able to make enough money to also help dad out with bills. You know all the losses he is facing now that Cathy passed and in a way I already feel like I saw it coming. It seemed like you were showing me. I thought I was forwarning him she was getting worse and all he did was keep on working trying to meet his needs and our needs and now it seems he is reaping a harvest of debt and I just pray he and I will surrender this to you. I pray we will wise up and stop making stupid mistakes because we have this stupid pride that thinks we have to meet our own needs. Please forgive us and help us to turn to you. You say in your word that you will supply all of our needs according to your riches and glory by Christ Jesus. I pray we heed your word and walk in it finally.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-61656590089623860322014-06-11T07:20:00.002-07:002014-06-11T07:20:41.713-07:00He Borne Our Grief

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:3-4 KJV

Jesus is called the man of sorrows. He is well acquanted with grief and suffering. We just need to let Him do His job. We need to allow Him to have all our grief we have no use for it it actually can make us useless in building His kingdom. We need to choose if we will serve God or our emotions. It is the same with guilt. We can give it all to Jesus because He said He already paid the price for it and we are debt free!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-81065381894344242932014-06-01T17:25:00.001-07:002014-06-01T17:25:09.229-07:00
It takes work, practice, learning, prayer, resources and grace to overcome the fear of failure. <indent>I found this quote while looking for something today. Don't you love how God puts things in our path at the precise time when we need them. I am seeking help and in prayer with a wonderful woman of God this morning, God reminded me of the above quote. I just know it was him that had his angels to put it back in my view. I moved last March into my parents home and it had to be God helping me find it again. I can't seem to find any thing. When I had my apartment I almost knew where most things were. This was written out in my own pen and I had hung inside my kitchen cabinet. I remember having this moment of clarity that this was my key the thing I had been missing in my need to grow. We need God's grace despirately, because I know for myself I get in His way all the time. I try to fix myself. I see something I don't like about my life and where it is going and try to read as much on that subject as possible. I know I was missing the practice doing what I need to be doing and praying in faith knowing that God would make the planns He has for me and my life succeed.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-901123682382878382014-05-24T16:10:00.002-07:002014-05-24T16:10:40.060-07:00Job's Three Friends Share His Anguish
11When three of Job’s friends heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and traveled from their homes to comfort and console him. Their names were Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. 12 When they saw Job from a distance, they scarcely recognized him. Wailing loudly, they tore their robes and threw dust into the air over their heads to show their grief. 13 Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights. No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words.

I am starting to blog again. I really was blessed and pray someone else will benefit from this too. We just don't know what to say to people when they have lost a loved one. I can relate, for I have wanted to comfort others and am now the one who needs to be comforted. I have experienced that after a while you do get tired of people asking you so "how are you doing?" I recentally had someone ask me and when I said not well they asked why? I guesss I'm a bit touchy but on the inside I screamed. "Well let's see, I DID JUST LOSE MY HUSBAND! but instead I just said I don't know. I guess I know they knew, but just wanted them to not ask me just know why automatically. It at the time seemed like a no brainer.
I also must add and please don't take it personally, but us widowzillas sometimes just need you to sit with us and not say anything. We may not even need your advice just someone to show they care. I know as the comforter you hate to see your loved one hurting, but let's face it we will hurt and we may shed some tears just let us know it is okay and that we don't have to put on a fake smile for you so we can save you from feeling bad too. I understand that others can not and wont be there for you because they don't know how. I will get through this one day at a time and so will others. We just need to allow ourselves and others get through the stages of grief at their own pace. Believe me no one wants to move on to happier days more than the griever we just need a little patience with ourselve and with those that don't understand. Will have to remember what Jesus said on the cross "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." or say.
In conclusion I do want to be like Job who said, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. If He should slay me I still want to say I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth."Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-83372349750136541692012-10-19T06:07:00.002-07:002012-10-19T06:07:56.553-07:00Good News for the OppressedIsaiah61
61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.[a]
2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn
that the time of the Lord’s favor has come,[b]
and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.
3 To all who mourn in Israel,[c]
he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins,
repairing cities destroyed long ago.
They will revive them,
though they have been deserted for many generations.
5 Foreigners will be your servants.
They will feed your flocks
and plow your fields
and tend your vineyards.
6 You will be called priests of the Lord,
ministers of our God.
You will feed on the treasures of the nations
and boast in their riches.
7 Instead of shame and dishonor,
you will enjoy a double share of honor.
You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice.
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be recognized
and honored among the nations.
Everyone will realize that they are a people
the Lord has blessed.”
10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit
or a bride with her jewels.
11 The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world.
Everyone will praise him!
His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring,
with plants springing up everywhere.
I Thank you Lord for this word. You gave this to me and it's been my scripture it's been my promise from you. I will meditate on it until I believe I will triumph over my enemies. I come against the Spirit of alcoholism in my family I command it in the name of Jesus to get off my father, Alvin, my son, myself and Ruth. This Spirit must leave in the name of Jesus. I am taking my authority as a child of God. I pray that the mind blinding Spirits will leave my house in the name of Jesus. We are not confused. I bind the Spirit of Strife off of myself and my husband. The love of God has been shed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Clear the way I bind up every obstetrical that Satan tries to put in my way to keep this promise from coming to pass. We will be victorious and see our deliverance. We are not quitters we are like a tree planted by the rivers of water and we shall not be moved.
1 O LORD, I give my life to you.
2 I trust in you, my God!
Do not let me be disgraced,
or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.
3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.
4 Show me the right path, O LORD;
point out the road for me to follow.
5 Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
6 Remember, O LORD, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
7 Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O LORD.
21 May integrity and honesty protect me,
for I put my hope in you.
22 O God, ransom Israel
from all its troubles.

These word bring comfort to me. I had been astray. I am clawing inching my way back. I was in darkness, but God has brought me back to the light. We try to hide but no where can we go without God seeing us. He keeps calling us as deep calls unto deep to awaken from our sleep don't be blinded. TD Jakes was on the other nite and he was talking about the accounts in the bible where Jesus healed more that were blind. I pray that the enemy that is blinding my husband get off in Jesus name. He doesn't have to live in the dark anymore. When truth about ourselves is reveiled it does take sometime for us to digest. Joyce Meyers recently blessed me because I was told I was stubborn and to clean my hands from what sin I was doing. I immediately was upset. It caused me to feel like I needed encouragement and instead I got corrected. I immediately left the meeting took Carly home and stopped and bought a pack of cigarettes like in defiance. I was only hurting myself. I guess I am still licking my wounds. It blessed me when Joyce testified to getting angry at God and her husband when correction was brought to her. I can say now I know in my heart that God corrects those he loves and wants them to come up higher. We cannot get away with things if we are called to do great things to give God Glory!! We must put away lying cheating, stealling back biting. Our sin will be coming to the light and be reveiled and if God has to if you aren't listening to him bring your sin out in public where it is embarrasing you to correct.

I know God is calling us to stop playing church and be real. I like one church sign I saw. It said, "No perfect people allowed". I find that keeps me from doing things. Like journalling and sharing the gospel with others. I feel I'm not perfect and cannot. I pray I will get over this stronghold. It is time to get back to listening to my teaching tapes and confessing my I walk out of failure prayers. Thank you Lord for caring and loving me enough to correct me.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-64295366493221619272011-09-30T07:20:00.000-07:002011-09-30T07:20:45.164-07:00"There's something deeply wrong with me."Dear Robin,

Today we're fasting from the thought that says: "There's something deeply wrong with me." The awareness of our flaws can be crippling, but God has provided a solution.

Let's change it TODAY:

1. Fix your eyes on His RIGHTS, rather than your wrongs. Be Christ-absorbed; and you will no longer be self-absorbed. Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith and your life—Hebrews 12:1-2.

2. Replace sin-consciousness with righteousness consciousness—In Christ, you are His righteousness. (2 Corinthians 5:21) When God looks at you, He sees His Son—without guilt, shame, inferiority or fear.

3. Right-being; not right doing. When you understand righteousness is right-being, it produces right-doing. (1 Corinthians 15:34)

4. Stop thinking B.C. (Before Christ!) You and I were a total mess without Jesus. But you have been created in Christ Jesus and you are in Him. There is nothing deeply wrong IN HIM.
(1 Corinthians 1:31)

5. We don't measure up; but that was SWALLOWED up—Jesus swallowed up all that was wrong with us and made us new.
(1 Corinthians 15:54, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

6. What you're not happy with about yourself, is your PAST. It’s not the real you. The real you is a BLOOD BOUGHT, BLOOD-WASHED child of God—reigning as a king in this life! (Revelations 1:5-6)

Think It & Say It:

I fix my eyes on His rights, rather than my wrongs. I am Christ-absorbed; and all my shortcomings and deep flaws are swallowed up in Christ. I am a king because of what HE made me, and my right-being in Him, produces right-doing, in Jesus' Name!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-25977456749237908842011-07-12T17:50:00.000-07:002011-07-12T17:50:32.845-07:00Be Skillful The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.– Psalm 34:10

Did you know that, according to the Word of God, there is no lack in the Body of Christ? Everything we could ever need, every problem we could ever face has been covered by the blood of Jesus. His exceeding great and precious promises have supplied it all.

Why then do many of us keep on suffering lack? Because we haven't, as Hebrews 5:13 says, become skillful in the Word of righteousness.

It takes skill to apply the Word of God. Sometimes we just sling the Word around and try to use it any old way. We pray some ignorant prayer and then say, "Oh well, God knows what I mean" and expect it to be answered.

It's funny though. We'd never stand for that kind of carelessness in the natural realm. If our doctor came in and just threw a bottle of pills at us and said, "Here, take that," without even trying to find out what's wrong with us, we'd leave his office and never come back. Yet, we're shocked when that same careless attitude in the spiritual realm keeps our prayers from being effective.

We live in an "instant" society where everything is quick and easy. And too many of us are letting that instant mentality leak over into our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. When someone needs healing, we bust through the hospital door, dab a little oil between their eyes and say, "Glory to God!" and out the door we go. Sometimes it doesn't take any longer than "In the Name of Jesus be healed!" But sometimes there is something else that must be done.

The time has come for us to shake off that "instant" mentality and realize that there are situations where we're going to have to take some time and pray in the Holy Ghost. Times when we're going to have to sit there and listen for God's instructions.

If you've come up short in any area of life--whether it be healing or finances or anything else--determine to develop your Word skills where that area is concerned. Get out your Bible. Read through all the healing scriptures. Read through all the miracle scriptures. Read through all the promises of God. Read through all the blessings of Abraham.
Meditate on them. Ask God to speak to you through them and to enlighten you about the situation you're facing. Don't just sling the Word around. Dig into it. Fellowship with your Father over it. Let Him show you how to apply it skillfully, and eventually, you'll lack no good thing.
I haven't written in a while I guess I fainted and let this lifes storms get me down. I was like in that commercial having to wind myself up to get started. But like up from the grave He rose so I am rising again. Like Rebecca St. James song "I crawl out of the ashes, burned with sin and shame and ask you Lord to make me whole again" You say if I turn from me and pray then you will hear me and answer. I have had my eyes on the problem and even tried to ignore the problem. I am sorry Lord I haven't turned to the problem solver. Hope deferred makes the heart sad and grow weak. I did lose my hope. The messages on Sundays have been great! I just need to apply them all week long. If you Praise God, God will step into your situation. This last Sunday came from Matthew 15:21-28. The woman in the story was like that widow who kept coming before the unjust judge. Lord please forgive me and help me like that Centuarian Help my unbelief. We believe you have what we need I guess we just give up too easily when we don't see the answer to our prayers. When we don't receive our drive thru breakthrough. We keep wanting it our way. I guess that is why I do hate fastfood. I am grateful for this job, but I don't want to do things at a fast pace. I have a challenging time slowing down. My husband is slower than me and it gets on my nerves when He doesn't hurry up and just get the job done. I guess it is good we need someone to slow us down, Those of us who are in such a hurry to get no where. We hurry and scurry until lifes no fun. This woman in Matthew 15 was a Gentile and because Jesus and His disciples were Jews they at first didn't want anything to do with her. She was coming to Jesus on behalf of her daughter, who had a demon in her and it was severely tormenting her. The woman was determined to have Jesus cast it out. She had heard of all He was able to do. She wasn't taking no for an answer. Makes me think of myself on how easily I let somebodies No hinder me. If I am a child of God I have rights. I cannot allow someones No to hinder me. I have blood bought rights. The disciples urged Jesus to send the woman away because she kept bothering them with all her begging. Jesus even told the woman He was sent only to help the people of Israel God's lost sheep, not the Gentiles. But then the woman came and worshipped him and pleaded again for the Lord to help her. Just like how our children get our attention and work on us if they want something by telling us they love us and can I take out the trash or help you do this and so Mom. Jesus said to this woman "It isn't right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs," She replied "Yes, Lord, but even dogs are permitted to eat crumbs that fall beneath their master's table" She was only looking for a crumb. She believed that Jesus could do it with just a crumb. Jesus loves this kind of Faith. Reminds me that we should look at our situations and tell it You are subject to change. I know my redemer lives and this situation has to bow down to the name of Jesus. Jesus we believe you are the problem solver, the heavy load sharer our bright and Morning Star. We thank you for stepping into our situation right now and healing and mending it. Turn the hearts of your children back to the Father in Jesus name. Amen!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03500954052786440434noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001796856714678220.post-13831388829401393532011-03-01T09:56:00.000-08:002011-03-01T09:56:36.229-08:00Times in our Lives<a href="http://Fruitful Sufferings... http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Fruit... That's what you and I have with Almighty God. If you could truly grasp the significance of that, you'd never be the same again.

What exactly is a covenant of grace? It's a relationship of favor that gives you access to someone else's power.

An illustration of a covenant of grace is the covenant the old Sicilian "family" members have with the "godfather" of the "family."

In that group, a weak person might come in and ask the Don for a favor. The Don would say, "I will grant this favor and I will ask a favor of you, and when that time comes, I will collect it."

Once that was said, the weak person would become excited. Suddenly he knew he would no longer have this problem because anyone who tried to rough him up would now have to face the godfather, the one with all the power. Suddenly, that little guy's attitude would change. He would leave the presence of the head of the family in the full assurance that he didn't have a thing to worry about. He was no longer small and powerless in his own mind. He had gained favor (grace) with the powerful.

He'd walk out thinking, "Everything is handled. All I have to do now is whatever the Don asks me to do--and the Don knows I don't have anything, so whatever he asks me to do, he'll provide the wherewithal to do it."

That's grace. God's willingness to enter into blood covenant with you and give you everything He has in exchange for everything you have.

He took your sin to give you His righteousness. He took your sickness to give you His health. He took your poverty in order to meet all your needs according to His riches in glory. Whenever He asks you to do something, He provides everything you need to carry it out.

The great Jehovah, God of heaven and earth, is your Father God. Can you understand that? If you're under the blood of Jesus, you've been made a covenant child of the most powerful being in the universe.

Dare to take your place in the family!
You know you need divine guidance. And you're hoping desperately to hear from the Lord. If that's your situation, don't panic. Being led by the Lord isn't some complicated process that only the spiritual "pros" can master. I found that out years ago when I was a new believer. I wanted to live in a way that was pleasing to God, but I didn't know how to make decisions that were in line with His will.

Then one day as I was studying The Amplified Bible, I came across Proverbs 16:3. Immediately, I latched onto this verse and began to use it in my life--and I can tell you now from experience, it works!

It will work for you too if you'll do what it says. Roll your works over on God, commit your ways to Him, trust them wholly to Him. He'll start adjusting your thoughts to be like His until, at some point, you'll just know the right thing to do. Of course, faith is involved. One of the requirements is trust, and you won't be able to do that without feeding on God's Word. Then as you practice rolling your works upon the Lord and trusting Him, you become more confident in your ability to hear. Start now with whatever problem is bothering you. Pray and trust God with it. In other words, believe you receive when you pray. Stop worrying and begin believing.

Learn to live this way and it doesn't matter whether you've been a Christian 30 minutes or 30 years, your plans shall be established and succeed!
Lord I do desire to walk in obedience to you. My heart cries out to you you know that we don't have enough in the natural to meet our needs. I'm praying for our needs to be met and that we have seed to sow. You say in your word that you do provide seed for the sower. Help me also to sow good seed in what I think and say to and about people. Let me not be a people pleas er, but pleasing to you oh Lord. I know that others do things that they shouldn't and tell you you can too, but you aren't of this world. We don't have to live like the world, stealing and thinking oh everyone else does. Even stealing a grape from the grocery store. A christian is judged more severely than the world for doing the same as it does. Let me not be conformed to this world but let me be transformed my the renewing of my mind. Holy Spirit convict me when I am doing as the world does. Help me give me the courage to stand up for you even though it is going against the crowd. Help me to remember to say Father forgive them for they know not what they do when they ridicule me. Someone once told me as they handed me a devotional booklet oh I'm gonna make you Holy and not tell anyone. That was wrong only God can make us Holy and He doesn't want us to keep Him a secret. These days it seems that's a rare combination.

A lot of people have been taught faith over the last several years, and a lot of people have been taught to abound with thanksgiving. But it's been hard to set the two together. Faith folks want to confess the Word all the time, but they don't praise God very much. And those who like to praise God just want to jump and shout and dance and have a good time in the Lord. You can't get them to get very serious about the Word.

Success comes from combining the two.

So, do it! Put them together in your life. When you run into a challenge, don't just stand around grim-faced and white-knuckled holding onto your faith. Raise your hands high and praise. Start thanking God in the midst of what's happening around you. Keep thanking Him for the answer until it comes.

Instead of just standing on the Word, let the joy of the Lord enable you to dance around on it a little. It will get you where you're going a whole lot faster...and both you and God will have a much better time on the way.

It always amazes me when I preach about prosperity and someone comes up to me and says, "I don't need much prosperity. I'm a simple person with a simple life. So I just ask God for enough to meet my needs."

They think that's humility, but it's not. It's selfishness! They don't realize it, but they're actually saying, "All I care about is meeting my own needs. I have no ambition to help meet anyone else's."

They could ask God for a million dollars, take out just enough to meet their needs, and give the rest away. But that doesn't even occur to them because when it comes to money, they've been brainwashed by a world that says if you have it, you've got to keep it.

That philosophy has hindered the ministry of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It has caused preachers to set aside their calling and get secular jobs just to survive. It's handicapped churches and stunted the growth of ministries that could have reached thousands more for the Lord.

It takes money to preach the gospel. Jesus Himself knew that, and contrary to what some people think, His ministry was not a poor one. He had so much money coming in and going out through His ministry that He had to appoint a treasurer. His name was Judas.

But Jesus didn't store up that money for Himself. He gave it to meet the needs of those around Him. He had such a reputation for giving that on the night of that last Passover when Judas left so abruptly, the disciples assumed that Jesus had sent him out to give to the poor.

Can you imagine how much and how often Jesus must have given to the poor for the disciples to make that assumption?

Jesus never built a worldly empire for Himself. But that doesn't mean He was poor. It means He was the greatest giver who ever walked the face of this earth, and it's time we started following in His footsteps.

Don't turn down the wealth God wants to give you just because you don't "need" it. Dare to accept it, then pass it along to those who do. Stop working for a living and start working for a "giving." Discover for yourself what riches were really meant to do.
Scripture Reading: Luke 12:15-31

My prayer is that the Lord provide me seed to sow into the kingdom. I pray not to just meet my needs but also to meet the needs of the building of the Kingdom.

The Amplified Bible says, "A share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion."

I want you to get violent today. Yes, violent, determined, zealous. I want you to get so committed to the things of God that you'll withstand any attempt to take them away from you. Too many believers these days are like the Israelites. They're wandering around in a wilderness of defeat because there's an enemy in the Promised Land. They're being robbed of their rightful inheritance because they're afraid to fight him. They keep hoping that somehow they'll find a way in without using force. But they won't! You have to make demands where Satan and his associates are concerned.

When God sent the Israelites into Canaan, He said, "Send the armed men to go before you." They were to go up armed--ready for the fight. He knew they'd have to fight to take the land. He never promised them that they wouldn't. What He promised them was they'd win every time. The same is true for you. You can't just lie down and play dead when you're dealing with the devil. He's not going to let go of any area of your life--of your health or your finances or anything else--without a fight. He's not going to give it up unless you force him.

Quit sitting there in the wilderness. Quit sitting there while the devil steals the blessings of God out from under you. You have God's permission and His power and His ability to take the land. Get violent enough to do something about it...today!
I need to fight. But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). Scripture will get me through. I need to stop being so lazy and confess out of my mouth. I need to get up earlier and confess. I need to stop making excuses. I think I need to tell my son to only come during day. I need my morning with the Lord. I am praying about another job I might be offered. I hope they don't count me out because I said to start off with I couldn't work 7 days. I don't even know what all the job entails, but I do know it will be an early morning shift. If the money is the same I'm making at McDonald's I will take it. I will give my notice and quit McDonalds I am so unhappy there. I know they won't want me to leave, but it is taking a toll on my body. To be standing on my feet for 6 hours straight and sometimes getting a 15 min break. I know I'm carrying a lot of extra weight. I need to get back to the doctors and see if I can somehow get into Virtua's. Well I believe it is a start. I love YouTube. God gives me a song in my heart and I just search it and play it. I was thinking on Philippians 4:13 Amp. "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me (I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me: I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency)" I am only sufficient through Christ who strengthens me. I cannot do it in my own strength. I trade His dying on the cross for my sin, my shame, my sickness. By His stripes I am healed. When do we fall short? When we don't spend time basking in God's presence. We are empty and need to be filled. We all have that God shaped hole inside that only God can fill. We can't fill it with chocolate, brownies, smoking, drinking or even sex. God is the only one who can complete us. The person in that movie with Tom Cruise got it wrong. They were saying another person completed them. We can't complete each other. My spouse isn't my better half. We are complete as we spend time in God's word and walking out our own souls salvation with fear and trembling. God does and can equip us to do what we have to do. We need times of quiet with God. We need to be refreshed and renewed. Spending time with loved ones is great, but we need to seek our creator. He has the answers to how to treat our spouse how our attitude should be toward our family and co-workers. I will be still and know you are God. You have all my loved ones in your hand. I was singing this song with my daughter this week right before we got some bad news that a loved one was in the hospital. We had just mentioned their name in the song. I found myself comforted in knowing God has the whole world in His hands. I don't need to control things I can't. It is great to just be and not have to feel like I have to have all the answers. God has the healing he has our answers. We need to tell our souls to be still. We need to command ourselves not to be shaken, fearful for our God is more than the whole world against us. God is love and His perfect love casts out all fear. It takes courage to believe for prosperity and put your last dime in the offering plate when poverty is staring you in the face. There are going to be some days when you'd rather pull the covers over your head and hide than take another faith stand against the devil. But you can't. Because the battle of faith isn't fought once and then forgotten. If you want to keep living in victory, you have to fight it again and again.

There's no way around it. Of course, some of God's people still try to find one. The Israelites, for example. They thought their battles should be over when they crossed the Red Sea. So when they heard reports of giants living in the Promised Land, they decided they couldn't face the fight. Their courage failed them. So they took a 40-year detour through the wilderness.

But you know what? They still couldn't avoid that fight. When the time came for the next generation to enter the Promised Land, the giants were still there!

This time, however, they found the courage to face them. Where did they find it? In the Word of God.

Their leader, Joshua, had obeyed the instruction of the Lord and kept that Word on his mind and in his heart day and night. He'd meditated on it and let it constantly remind him that God was on their side.

If you're going to fight the good fight of faith to the finish, you'll have to do just like Joshua did. You'll have to continually draw courage from the Word of God. So make up your mind to do it. Get into that Word and let it change you from a coward to an overcomer. Then march into battle and slay the giants in your land.
